Some of the commonly made website design mistakes are :-
1. Not thinking about the visitor's need:- Designers should not only think about their needs but should also concentrate on the expectations of the visitors.
2. Poor navigation:- Visitors should be able to navigate all the pages from the homepage. Poor navigation can disappointment the visitors.
3. Use of large images and flash:- Animations and flash makes your website attractive. But too much use of flash can make your website too long load.
4. Improper use of content:- Content is the most important part of a website. Visitors always want the website to be rich in content.
5. Too many adverts:- You can use adverts to earn some extra income. But too much use of adverts wont be appreciated by the visitors and they will look forward to your competetors.
6. Lack of consistency:- Designers should maintain a consistency while designing. Though the content should be different but the look and design should be consistent all the way through.
